The Spanish Language Society (SLS) at San Diego State University (SDSU) strives to create a welcoming environment where individuals of all backgrounds come together to enhance their Spanish speaking and comprehension abilities, and prepare members for success in the workforce and beyond.

We host our GBM’s every Monday from 5:30-6:30pm in Mata’Yuum in the Student Union!
Conversation Practice/ Practica de conversación
The best way to master a language is to simply speak it! We host conversation practice sessions at our GBM’s in order to foster a laid-back environment where students can speak conversational Spanish with their peers.
La mejor manera de aprender un idioma es simplemente hablarlo. Organizamos sesiones de práctica de conversación en nuestros GBM para crear un ambiente relajado donde los estudiantes pueden hablar español conversacional con sus compañeros.
Food/Comida
Everything is better with delicious food! As part of our mission to foster a welcoming environment, we want our members to be excited to attend our meetings, so we frequently cater all kinds of yummy treats. We have had churros, tacos, empanadas, and more!

Como parte de nuestra misión de fomentar un ambiente acogedor, queremos que nuestros miembros estén entusiasmados de asistir a nuestras reuniones, por lo que con frecuencia atendemos todo tipo de deliciosas delicias. Games/Juegos
A great way to practice conversational Spanish is to play games in Spanish! Our members get to have fun and show their competitive spirit while also sharpening their Spanish skills.
