Maura is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in International Business with an emphasis in Spanish and Latin American Studies. She started taking Spanish classes in middle school and fell in love with the language ever since. In SLS, she is excited to meet new people and watch herself and others develop their conversational skills. Her junior year she plans on studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country and hopes to continue to use Spanish in her future career. Outside of learning Spanish, Maura enjoys going on hikes, exploring San Diego, and painting her nails.

Lucca is a second- year student studying political science and sustainability with a minor in Spanish. She learned Spanish in a dual immersion program, but upon entering college realized how quickly language skills are lost if you do not practice enough. As Vice President of SLS, Lucca hopes to make language learning more accessible and create a welcoming environment where students can connect and not be afraid to make mistakes. For fun, Lucca enjoys reading, surfing, hiking, and camping. Her favorite place to be is at the beach. 

Ethan is a second-year student majoring in marine biology. He learned Spanish throughout elementary, middle, and highschool through a dual immersion program. The program introduced him to some of his best friends and new foods and traditions. Ethan hopes to connect SLS with an immersion program to allow our organization to travel abroad! For fun, Ethan likes to surf, bounty in bike, and play video games. He also enjoys drawing, reading comic books and fostering dogs.  

Allison is from Chicago, Illinois, where she studied Spanish for 6 years and became president of her schools Spanish NHS! As a second year Marketing Major at SDSU, she hopes to study abroad in Spain. As Marketing Officer for SLS, Allison plans to grow membership, maintain a strong community image, and show others how fun it is to learn Spanish. Outside of school, Allison enjoys trying new restaurants, thrifting, and creating art. 

Giovanna is currently enrolled as a third-year student majoring in International business with an emphasis on Spanish and Western Europe. She is most excited to hear everyone's professional improvement in conversations in Spanish and get to meet some amazing people! Though Spanish was originally her first language, she lost touch with it once she went to school, and hopes to regain and improve all that may have been lost and will use it to her advantage when scouting for bilingual career positions and studying abroad! She adores traveling, penpalling, and going to concerts. 

Ingrid is a fourth-year student from Hong Kong, and has lived in the UK, Singapore, and Switzerland. She understands how difficult language barriers can be in medical and psychological healthcare fields, and wants to help dismantle it through her future career. Ingrid is majoring in Psychology with a Neuroscience emphasis and a minor in Spanish. She recently completed a summer internship in Madrid and is excited to further her Spanish language skills. Ingrid enjoys portrait sketching, traveling, and trying new things.
